  • High-resolution photos were taken in two different views: back and right side views, using a background grid as a way of calculating measurements.

  • To quantify precisely the toning effect of ShaToBu, an articulated model was developed.
  • A pressure gauge measures the force needed to move the thigh at the hip joint, and the force applied is calculated with ShaToBu, without, and with other types of garments.
  • The results clearly demonstrated that with ShaToBu more force was needed to move the thigh at the same speed and angle than without ShaToBu.
  • The results with the model showed that hip flexion resistance increases while wearing ShaToBu.
